The following list provides the names of the 1,038 successful candidates who sat for the Virginia bar examination in July 2009. The Virginia Board of Bar Examiners reports that there was a 75.4 percent pass rate; among first-time exam takers, the pass rate of 80.2 percent. At the end is a listing of the 96 people who passed the exam, but who are not being licensed at this time due to outstanding licensing requirements. Congratulations to the new lawyers!
